Ticketmaster Adds Technology Veteran Karen Klein to Executive Team
(March 6, 2019) — Ticketmaster, the global market leader in ticketing, today announced that Karen Klein has joined the company as Executive Vice President and General Counsel, reporting to Ticketmaster President Jared Smith. In this new role, Klein will lead the company’s legal, government affairs, public policy, and human resources teams.
Klein brings two decades of experience to Ticketmaster after a remarkable legal career in law firms, and technology and ecommerce companies. Most recently, Klein was Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel at hotel booking platform, HotelTonight. Prior to HotelTonight, Klein was General Counsel at Kayak, and led the global legal team at Orbitz.

Klein is a business-minded executive with General Counsel experience that includes corporate governance, software and SaaS licensing, intellectual property strategy and management, mergers & acquisitions, and international expansion.

Ticketmaster continues to expand its global leadership position, with a 14% increase in revenue in 2018. Overall in 2018, Ticketmaster managed over 400,000 events, delivered 500 million tickets to fans in 28 countries, and added ten million new tickets through new clients.
