BERLIN - Reeperbahn Festival Conference has today announced the appointment of Ticketmaster as its official and exclusive ticketing partner, joining a growing roster of showcase festival and conferences using the agent.

The new partnership will see Reeperbahn using Ticketmaster's international self-managed ticketing platform, Universe, allowing event organisers to take more control over their event. The conference will benefit from comprehensive delegate registration, an embedded checkout process and marketing support from Ticketmaster Germany.

Klaus Zemke, MD of Ticketmaster Germany, said: “We believe in the long-term future of the live music business and are passionate supporters of Europe’s leading music industry events. Germany’s Reeperbahn Festival Conference is a staple on the calendar, and we couldn’t be happier to welcome them to the Ticketmaster family. Universe will enhance the ticketing experience for both the organisers and users, allowing Reeperbahn to make the most of cutting-edge ticketing technology.”

Detlef Schwarte, Director Conference at Reeperbahn Festival, said: "As an internationally oriented event, we need a global ticketing company with leading ticketing technology and a sense of responsibility for the interests of its customers and users - as such, we got to know Ticketmaster's Universe platform in detailed discussions. We are looking forward to a smooth collaboration in the safe hands of the Universe team“.

The announcement follows last month’s signing of music industry conference Waves Vienna, joining other recent prominent showcase festival signings across Europe including Eurosonic, ByLarm, Heavy Metal Awards, Wide Days and Music Most Wanted in Berlin. This is in addition to Ticketmaster’s long-term industry partners at The Great Escape and ILMC in the UK.

One of the most important B2B music networking events in Europe, the annual Reeperbahn Festival Conference, is held in Hamburg every September offering music and digital industry professionals a programme that includes more than 300 sessions, networking events, meetings, showcases and award shows. The conference attracts over 5,900 professionals and media representatives from 52 countries.
